A luscious smile slipped upward on her gray lips as she stood there, a shapeless dash on the snowy mountain top. Despite the summer heat below, the Theymoore never melted - it remained a steady, incessant blast of cold air that reminded her so pleasantly of Heaven. Of course, there was no where like this in her own, Otherworldly life. Her domain was possibly the closest to the icy, frigid life of the Theymoore. She stood, short in her stature compared to the towering creatures that inhabited Alalume. Beasts that stood nearly twenty hands graced high over her own stubby fourteen. Though, that was no terrible matter at all - her own stupendous power made her greater, in the long run. Her black mane, the charcoal smudge that set her apart from the snowy atmosphere, drifted loftily in the frigid breeze. She tossed her small head, the smile still stiff upon her pale lips. Ah, her darling sister just didn't understand, did she? A snort briefed her maw as she stepped along the rocky, wet terrain and stretched her wings to either side of her thin body. Aiko was just silly, just too wrapped up in her own little power struggle to realize anything that went around about her.
Deva crowed, a long, shrill peal of laughter into the howling air. Her body was not buffeted by the sharp breezes, and her legs maneuvered the uneven ground with the perception of grace and confidence. Most sane beings did not get this high in the mountains, did not bother to trek to its almighty and astounding heights. She was still far off from the peak, but the ledge she'd perched herself on was mighty enough. She could see, through her icy eyes, the entire western side of Alalume, the coast and its inhabitants, the waves that licked the white sands with their frothy, rabid tongues. She could see the tall children of the forests, reaching up to the blazing sun that was beyond Deva's vision, hidden above a long blanket of thick, angry clouds. White flecks dotted her vision and swirled, juxtaposed against the summery land beneath her. That was the reason that she loved the Theymoore so much. Even Heaven thawed, in the summer, but the highest summits of the mountain range remained icy and cold. Aiko never seemed to venture to the colder parts of Alalume, and that made Deva happy.
